This website is a personal coding project (I have never coded before). I feel there is a lack of accessible, practical online resources dedicated to Finnish and other Finno-Ugric languages, especially their spoken and colloquial forms. My long-term goal is to slowly build this website into a space for documenting, preserving, and sharing Finno-Ugric languages and dialects.
Finnish is a unique and challenging language, unlike any other in the world. This site aims to provide a place to practice vocabulary and dialect in an easy-to-use, interactive format aligned with memory retention and language learning techniques.
This site is still a work in progress and will keep evolving. I plan to add new features, more grammar material, and eventually a mobile-friendly version (maybe even an app down the line).
If there’s something you’d like to see here that isn’t currently available, please reach out via the contact form - I’m open to suggestions and ideas. (Please do not make very complicated requests - or do; maybe it will test my skills :D)
As this project is still a work in progress and started as coding practice, you may encounter bugs. If you do, kindly let me know through the contact page.
